Dr. Slusher has been in practice in Dallas for over 35 years specializing in eye care utilizing the state-of-the-art laser surgery, including LASIK and PRK, and small incision cataract surgery.

Dr. Slusher believes in total family eye care. He and his expert staff perform eye exams, treat glaucoma, fit glasses and contact lenses, and if necessary, perform all types of eye surgery.

Dr. Slusher is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He did his residency at Southwestern Medical School here in Dallas and his internship at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas.

He went to Medical School at the University of Missouri, and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California.

Dr. Slusher is a Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Southwestern Medical School. He has been Chief of the Department of Ophthalmology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas and, in 1999, was the President of the Dallas Academy of Ophthalmology.

He was named as one of the Top Doctors in “The 1999 Guide to Top Doctors,” published by the Center for the Study of Services. He is a member of the Council of Sports Vision. For many years, Dr. Slusher was named as one of Dallas’s Best Doctors by D Magazine (www.dmagazine.com).  Dr. Slusher has also been selected, multiple times, in Texas Monthly as one of the Texas Super Docs.

Dr. Slusher is married and has two daughters. He enjoys running and completed the New York City Marathon in 1999, the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, DC in 2001, the Motorola Marathon in Austin, in 2002, the Vancouver Marathon and Portland Marathon in 2003, the Dallas White Rock Marathon in 2003, 2004, and 2005.
